For those who are on a tight budget but want to maximize their vacation in Baguio City, then this budget friendly guide on how to go to the various tourist spots here in Baguio City is for you. Worry no more if you don't have your own car or don't want to spend a lot on taxi fares as this simple guide will show you what jeepneys to take, where their terminals are and how long would it take for your to get to the place just by taking jeepneys or by walking. Baguio Botanical Garden- Also known as the Igorot Village, the Botanical Garden features native huts typical of the type of Igorot dwellings found in the Cordilleras. The village is said to capture the ethnic spirit and cultural legacy of the Igorots and being tranquil and quiet, it is a nice place to just sit down and relax, take a leisurely stroll along its narrow and winding pathways and also enjoy the landscape where you will find numerous plants and trees. Located along Leonard Wood Road between Pacdal Circle and Teacher’s Camp and 5 to 10 minutes travel time from downtown Baguio. You can take Jeepneys with route going to Pacdal with terminal along Lakandula Street beside Metrobank Magsaysay Avenue branch or Mines View with terminal at Lower Mabini Street fronting Danes Bakeshop and inform the driver to drop you off at Botanical Garden. Fare would be Php8.50. Info and image courtesy of www.cityofpines.com
Mines View Park- Located on the northeastern part of the city and about 4 km from downtown Baguio, the park overlooks the mining town of Itogon, particularly the abandoned gold and copper mines of the Benguet Corporation, and offers a glimpse of the Amburayan Valley. There are jeepneys with Mines View signs that will take you directly to this place and their terminal is located at Lower Mabini Street fronting Danes Bakeshop. Fare is around Php12.00 or Php10.00 and travel time is 5 to 10 minutes. Info courtesy of en.wikipedia.org Image courtesy of www.pinstopin.com Mines View Park jeepney terminal Good Shepherd Convent- A mere walking distance from Mines View Park and located along Brgy. Gibraltar. Travel time is 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Baguio. The store is popularly known for the different products made by the Good Shepherd nuns and visitors coming up to the city who are familiar with items sold in the store always make it a point buy something to take back home. Among the most sought items are fruit preserves, strawberry and ube jams, cashew and peanut brittle, and coco jam. You can visit Good Shepherd convent after visiting Mines View Park or vice versa. You can take jeepneys bound to Mines View Park and ask the dispatcher for the Gibraltar route. The jeep’s terminal is located at Lower Mabini Street fronting Danes Bakeshop. Fare is around Php10.00 or Php12.00 Info courtesy of www.cityofpines.com Image courtesy of www.tripadvisor.com Good Shepherd Convent @ Brgy. Gibraltar via Mines View Park jeepney terminal The Mansion- The official summer residence of the President in Baguio City and is located across Wright Park. Travel time from downtown Baguio is around 8 to 10 minutes. You can either take Mines View via Mansion or Pacdal bound jeepneys. Fare is Php8.50. Actually, you can drop by Mansion House and Wright Park after you’re done with Mines View Park and Good Shepherd convent as jeepneys going back to downtown Baguio will pass by this spots. Just don’t forget to inform the driver to drop you off either at the Mansion House or Wright Park. Info and image courtesy of en.wikipedia.org
Wright Park- Wright Park, which is located at the eastern part of the city and fronting the main gate of the Mansion, is one of the many scenic parks in Baguio City. Its main features are a shallow elongated rectangular body of water known as the "Pool of Pines" and the park circle which is on one end of the park. Postcard-type photographs are usually taken at both ends of Wright Park and when going there it is best to bring along a camera. For directions and transportation please refer to The Mansion House direction. Info courtesy of www.cityofpines.com Image courtesy of pinescity.com For jeepney terminal map of Wright Park please refer to The Mansion Camp John Hay- Camp John Hay (CJH) is Baguio City's most popular visitor attraction. A beautiful resort in the mountains it features a world class competition Jack Niclaus-designed golf course (said to be the only course in the Philippines to have bent grass greens) as well as hotels, a shopping center & a convention center, among other attractions. Located on the south eastern side of the Summer Capital of the Philippines, its Main Gate is now located on Loakan Road, a 5-minute drive from its old location at the Upper Session Road-Loakan Road-South Drive rotunda. You can take jeepneys going to Scout Barrio or Loakan or Kias-PMA with all three routes having their terminal at the east side of Burnham Park across Tiong-San Department Store, Harrison Road. Fare is Php8.50. But my recommendation if you’re going to John Hay is to take a taxi or cab instead as this is more convenient than taking jeepneys. John Hay is a wide forest reserve and there are no jeepneys going inside. Info courtesy of www.gobaguio.com Image courtesy of brigada.ph
Philippine Military Academy- The premier military school of the Armed Forces of the Philippines located at Fort General Gregorio H. Del Pilar some ten kilometers from downtown Baguio. Take the Kias-PMA route jeep with terminal at the east side of Burnham Park across Tiong-San Department Store and inform the dispatcher or driver that you are going inside the camp. Fare is around Php15.00 or Php18.00 Info courtesy of en.wikipedia.org Image courtesy of www.cityofpines.com PMA-Kias jeepney terminal Baguio Night Market- A place designated by the City Government of Baguio to allow vendors of the different ukay ukay stalls in the City to bring out their merchandise for the tourists and people of the City. Open everyday from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am and located along the half portion of Harrison Road in downtown Baguio. Just a few steps away if you are coming from Session Road. Image courtesy of Youtube.com Location of the Baguio Night Market La Presa at Mount Santo Tomas- The latest and the hottest attraction right now in Baguio City thanks to the hit tv series Forevermore. Located at Sitio Pungayan in the municipality of Tuba, Benguet roughly about 10 to 15 kilometers from downtown Baguio. It’s recommended to go there in the morning as the sky is clear and you can have a good view of the entire City of Baguio and nearby La Union Province atop Mount Santo Tomas. It is also recommended to have your own car as taxi can be quite expensive as you are going to privately rent it. Taxi rate can be around Php600.00 to Php800.00. If you don’t have your own car I can arrange for your transportation in going there. Just message me to know the details. Image courtesy of lzk.me Location of La Presa BenCab Museum- The BenCab Museum is on Km. 6 Asin Road, a brief 15-minute drive from the center of Baguio City. Built on a promontory, the museum commands a breathtaking view of the adjacent garden, farm, hill and mini-forest, the surrounding mountains, and the South China sea in the distant west. The BenCab Museum houses the permanent collection of Philippine National Artist Benedicto Cabrera (BenCab) in several galleries, as well as venues for art shows and exhibitions. You can take Asin Road bound jeepneys with their terminal at Kayang Street at the Baguio City Public Market. Fare is Php15.00. Its main attraction is the strawberries where you can pick and harvest at a reasonable price. You can take jeepneys bound to La Trinidad with their terminal at Rizal Park across Baguio City Hall or at the back of Baguio Center Mall. Fare is Php10.00 and inform the driver to drop you at strawberry farm in Km. 5. Image courtesy of www.traveltothephilippines.info
Burnham Park- Burnham Park is a 32.84 hectare urban park located at the heart of the Baguio City, in the Philippines. Hello Ma'am Erika. Thank you for visiting our site. There are cottages that are for rent inside the Teacher's Camp. We just don't have any idea how much are the rates for the cottages but you may try to search on the net for any contact details regarding the rate and how to reserve. There are also a handful of hotels outside Teacher's Camp along Leonard Wood Road. Try to check them out on Google.

Hello po. There are no jeeps plying from SM Baguio to La Presa po. There are jeepneys, those with the Green Valley route but they are only until the foot of the Mount Santo Tomas. And aside from that, La Presa is currently off limits to visitors and tourists alike by the DENR for environmental rehabilitation.

Hello Ma'am Love. There are jeeps passing Strawberry Farm. Just look for jeeps with Baguio-La Trinidad route and tell the driver to drop you at Kilometer 5 or 6. Regarding La Presa, unfortunately it is closed to public since December last year. If you want we are offering a private tour with van and driver included to all Baguio City tourist spots including Strawberry Farm. Hi Ma'am Christie. If galing po ng Burnham Park hanggang Strawberry Farm is nasa around 80 to 90 pesos ang taxi fare.

Siguro ang expenses lang namin sa transpo nung nasa baguio kami more or less 150pesos per pax in 2days kasi more jeep and lakad talaga ginawa namin. Dalawang beses lang kami ng taxi. Salamat ulit. Hope na magkaroon po kayo update sa new attraction sa baguio. Yung sa Dino island. Salamat.
